DEX Delivery System for DistributorsWhat Is The DEX Delivery System? The DEX Delivery System is an affordable solution for pre-sell distributors who generate invoices in-house and need to enter that invoice information into the retailer's computer system at the back door receiving area using DEX/UCS. DEX/UCS is a standard managed by the Uniform Code Council for electronic data interchange in the grocery industry. The DEX Delivery System consists of one or more handhelds running our DEX handheld software and the DEX Office Utilities application running on an office PC or network. Invoices are downloaded to the driver/salesperson's handheld computer before they start their day. As they are making their deliveries, the driver/salesperson electronically transfers the invoice to the store's computer using the DEX/UCS standard when the product is being checked in at the back door receiving area. This avoids time consuming and error prone hand keying of UPC codes and quantities into the store's computer.
